  1. That’s a fun story. I liked the “Punk’d” angle! I wonder if The Twilight Zone maybe had something to do with this story, with some random strange thing happening to someone out of left field? The show as fairly new at the time.

Robin was portrayed as a bit of an excitable dweeb on Batman 66, but he also often appeared to be the smartest person on the show, deducing the answer to the latest riddle or puzzle before Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Chief O’Hara or even the Bat-computer could many times. You got the impression once Batman taught him to appreciate fine art and music and drink his milk, the kid was going to do alright.

Great show, Michael! After listening to this episode, I had the urge to re-watch the Teen Titans Go! cartoon called “Super Robin!”, to refresh my memory of what happened when Raven granted Robin superpowers. I wonder if Robin ever asked Superman for some of those superpower-inducing rays from his device? Where the heck did that device come from? Silver age Superman probably made it! Do you know if it was used again before or since World’s Finest Comics #109? I am excited for the special series of episodes you have planned for the rest of the year! I always listen to the total episode, because you are right, we do have fun here!

Hey Michael great show. By the time I listened to the podcast I had already listened to the Superman Fan Podcast. It was great comparing the two and of course I’m not going to say which one was better. I will say you both have awesome shows. As for Robin on the Batman series, I do agree there was a lot of fathering from Batman, especially towards Dick, but I also feel that Batman treated Robin as an equal partner. The show truly centered on both characters and probably should have been called Batman and Robin. Anyway the show was great and I’m looking forward to your take on the post crisis relationship of our two favorite heroes. Thanks again. Marc Lax.
