  1. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to Stan Lee. Any comic book fan with an honest and generous heart must acknowledge Stan’s place in the pantheon of great and influential comic creators. I’m a longtime comic book reader (starting in the late 1950s) and, although my stronger preference has always been DC, I’ve always enjoyed the Marvel books, as well. I will try to track down Detective Comics #600, if only for the Stan Lee poem about Batman. I also enjoy the idea that Stan wrote a Superman story for DC. The very idea makes me smile.
