This time out, Billy looks at three Jerry Siegel-written tales, including one that was given cover billing and another with long-reaching implications for Supergirl!<\/p>\n

First up from SUPERMAN #147 is the 8-page “Krypto Battles Titano!” as the Hound of Steel travels through time and meets the ape with kryptonite eyes. Next, from the same issue and featured on the cover (in a homage to the classic cover of ADVENTURE COMICS #247), is the 11-page “The Legion of Super-Villains!” The story features not only the first appearance of those mentioned in the title, but the first appearance of adult versions of the Legion of Super-Heroes (commonly referred to as the “Adult Legion”).<\/p>\n

And finally, from ACTION COMICS #279, Billy looks at the 12-page “Supergirl’s Secret Enemy!,” which continues Siegel’s epic Supergirl saga — and sees the introduction of two very important people in the life of the Maid of Might!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
