The Thrilling Adventures of SupermanWelcome to episode 86 of The Thrilling Adventures of Superman. The show’s mission is to explore the history and development of the Superman in his formative years by chronicling the Man of Steel’s Golden Age adventures in comics, radio and film.

At long last, we return to the four-color, Sunday incarnation of the Superman newspaper strip, with a look at the serial’s sixth storyline. When Lois Lane receives an inheritance of a piece of land, little does she know that danger awaits! Can Superman speed to the rescue in time? And just why is this storyline so familiar?

A seemingly mundane incident is the catalyst for our story when Clark Kent interviews a recently successful businessman and finds him to be… bored. But, things make an upward turn as Superman takes on a dangerous new threat known only as “the Lamite” as Michael looks at the fifth storyline from the Sundays installments of the Superman newspaper strip. Beware of giant spiders.

These are the things Superman must face as Michael looks at the third storyline from the Sunday continuity of the Superman newspaper strip. It is a short four-strip story, but packed full of action! Also this episode, Michael dives into the mailbag for some listener feedback.

The Thrilling Adventures of Superman

Welcome to episode 34 of The Thrilling Adventures of Superman. The show’s mission is to explore the history and development of the Superman in his formative years by chronicling the Man of Steel’s Golden Age adventures in comics, radio and film.

We return once more to the Sunday continuity of the Superman newspaper strip, as Michael looks at the second, six-strip storyline. It is a marked improvement over the first as Superman squares off against Lois Lane, a mad scientist, flamethrowers, hypnotized men and more in this Golden Age classic!

The Superman media empire grows again as the newspaper strip expands to seven days a week with the addition of a full-color Sunday strip! This episode, Michael looks at the first storyline which features extortion, assault and animal abuse! And once Superman is done with that, he takes on the villain! HIJINKS!
